Dunkirk woman charged in connection with stabbing

A Dunkirk woman has been charged in connection with a stabbing that happened over the weekend in the city. Odessey S. Finley, 25, of Park Avenue was taken into custody this evening.
Dunkirk Police were able to identify Finley as the suspect in Sunday’s stabbing of a 22-year-old Dunkirk female which occurred at the intersection of East Fifth and Leopard streets.
An arrest warrant was obtained from Dunkirk City Court Judge Walter Drag charging Finley with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Shortly after 6 p.m., Finley was seen walking in the area of Park Avenue and East Fifth Street. She was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held without bail pending arraignment.
