Westfield man charged with selling narcotics
WESTFIELD – A Westfield man has been arrested in connection with illegal narcotics sales. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and West-field Police Department conducted an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics which resulted in the arrest of George E. Travis, 49, of East Main Street.
It is alleged Travis was selling quantities of the prescription drug, hydrocodone in the area. Westfield Police, along with the STRDTF, were able to purchase quantities of the prescription drugs from Travis resulting in an arrest warrant being issued. He was arrested Monday by police and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a quantity of prescription drugs. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of prescription drugs outside its original container. He was arraigned and sent to the County Jail in lieu of bail.

Andrew Butts, 20, of 801 W. 5th St., Jamestown, was sentenced to three years conditional discharge and restitution for second-degree forgery, fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

VILLENOVA – Eric T. Stalker, 39, of Route 83 was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing on Sunday. At 8:15 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a Villenova residence for a physical altercation already in progress. Upon arrival, deputies gained entry to the house and Stalker was arrested. He was arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
Adrian Rivera-Velez, 35, of Columbus Avenue, Dunkirk, was charged with petit larceny on July 30.
On Thursday at 5:40 p.m., Christine Fenton, 47, of Forestville, was stopped in traffic on East Main Street facing west with her left turn signal on and was attempting to turn left onto Cushing Street. David Overstreet, 40, of Fuller Road, Portland, was traveling west on E. Main Street behind Fenton and struck Fenton’s vehicle in the rear, causing damage to both vehicles.
Kathleen Guest, 67, of South Roberts Road, Dunkirk, was traveling east on East Main Street and was struck in the driver’s side door by the driver’s side tire from Overstreet’s vehicle, which came off during the collision between Fenton and Overstreet. Fenton and Overstreet’s vehicles were towed.
Allen Crowell, 29, of West Sheridan Drive, Dun-kirk, was charged with passing a red light, failure to keep right and operating a motor vehicle without a license on Sunday.
