Kelley seeking re-election as Portland highway superintendent

Charles E Kelley Jr. is seeking re-election as the Town of Portland Highway Superintendent. He has been endorsed by the Democratic, Independent, and Working Families Parties.

Kelley, 56, has been with the Portland Highway Department for 26 years, serving as highway superintendent for the last 16 years. During his tenure he has successfully managed the town highway department budget. He has oiled & stoned 90 miles of road and re-surfaced 17 miles of road with black top.

Kelley attended Mayville Central School. He has owned and operated a 44-acre grape farm in the Town of Portland for the past 33 years.

He is a member of the National Grape Cooperative, John W. Dill American Legion Post of Brocton, the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association Inc. and the Westfield Moose Lodge.

He and his wife, Debra, reside at 6374 Woleben Road, Portland. They have two children, Mathew Kelley of Portland and Kathy Burnett of Stockton and two granddaughters.
