County native promoted at AFP
A Chautauqua County native has been promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at AFP, the Association for Financial Professionals, which is headquartered outside of Washington, D.C.
Jeff Glenzer, CTP, a former treasury executive, will be responsible leading, developing and overseeing the execution of AFP content strategies in support of AFP’s global mission. He will also be responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives while leading AFP’s product development, educational programming, public policy and communication departments.
“AFP is pleased to promote Jeff Glenzer,” said AFP President and CEO Jim Kaitz. “His insight, talent and leadership are an enormous benefit to Association staff and our 16,000 members. This reflects AFP’s commitments to our global strategy and I look forward to collaborating with them on future strategic endeavors.”
Glenzer, son of John “Jack” and Joan Glenzer of Fredonia, currently resides in Germantown, Md., and is married to the former Lisa Bolton. The couple has two daughters, Elizabeth and Paige.
A graduate of Fredonia High School, he received his master’s in business administration from Johns Hopkins and formerly served as deputy director of finance for Chautauqua County.
