Willow Creek presents Jammin the Blues weekend

SILVER CREEK – Willow Creek Winery presents Jammin the Blues weekend this Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, Willow Creek Winery will welcome back Royal Southern Brotherhood to kick off the weekend, and world renowned blues guitarist Gary Hoey will close the weekend on Saturday night.

This is the first year of Jammin the Blues at Willow Creek, extending their one-night blues show into a two-night blues festival.

The Royal Southern Brotherhood consists of Devon Allman, son of Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, and founder of Devon Allman’s Honeytribe; Cyril Neville of the Neville Brothers and the Meters; Blues Music Award winner Mike Zito; Yonrico Scott, drummer for Derek Trucks Band; and bassist Charlie Wooten, known for his work with the Woods Brothers. The band coming from a pedigree of rock, blues, and soul has fused their backgrounds together to make a sound that is all their own.

Friday will also featuring local music acts opening for the royal blues group, Alex Kates from Jamestown, John/Street/Mahfoud Band, and Randale & the Late Night Scandals both from Buffalo.

Gary Hoey has toured and played with the likes of Brian May of Queen, Lita Ford and Ted Nugent. Hoey will be promoting his new album, “Deju Blues,” an album influenced by his love of Blues music.

“This is an album of original blues songs I’ve wanted to record for a long time. The blues has always been near and dear to my heart, I have so much respect for it.” Said Hoey. This is Hoey’s first time on the Willow Creek Stage.

Saturday will also feature local musicians, Big Tone from Fredonia, An All Star band featuring Michael Hund and The Tommy Z Band, both from Buffalo.

Tickets for Friday are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the gate opening at 5 p.m. Saturday tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the gate opening at 2 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Willow Creek Winery Box Office and HYPERLINK ““http://www.tickets.com”>www.tickets.com“http://www.tickets.com”>www.tickets.com. Camping is available for $10 per person per night. There is a weekend special available, purchase Friday and Saturday pre-sale tickets and camping package, a $60 value for $40.
