St. Vincent’s Home holds Art/Craft Show
The atmosphere was upbeat at St. Vincent’s Home in Dunkirk as was held an Art & Craft Show Opening on Friday, July 19 from 4 to 6 pm. The event was held to celebrate residents’ artistic projects, and to welcome the community to the facility.
Jill Madison, one of the artists, presented 90 paintings she has worked on over the last few years with great success. They filled the rooms with color. Norma Youngberg, showed drawings and craft works. These included a doll house complete with furniture worked in plastic canvas as well as exquisite wooden clocks. Agnes Warner displayed needlework and knitting pieces that are quite beautiful. Wooden crafts were displayed that were worked on by William Houser and Christine Partyka. Ceramic pieces were shown by Lucy Vinciguerra.
The artists were present to meet and greet family, friends and the community, and everyone had a very good time.
During the opening, Mr. Angelo Muirragui, retired concert pianist and teacher, played various selections.
Refreshments of wine and cheese, desserts, and beverages were provided.
The show remained open to the public until the end of July.
