CMHS Class of 1966 to throw ‘Medicare Party’

The CMHS Class of 1966 will throw a Medicare party for classmates at 5 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the residence of Terri Klaybor Rittenburg. Classmates are told to “BYOB;” snacks and food will be provided. Literacy Volunteers book sale Aug. 24

Literacy Volunteers’ 21 East Bookstore will host a book sale on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the bookstore. Paperback books will be $0.50 and hardcovers will be $1. There will be some specially priced books. Come browse and take home some bargains. All proceeds help promote literacy and Literacy Volunteers. The bookstore is located at 21 E. Second St., Dunkirk. Patrons are asked to use the Washington Avenue entrance.

DREAMS Advocacy Group to hold meeting Wednesday

DREAMS Advocacy Group will hold a monthly meeting on Wednesday at Harvest Chapel, 39 Matteson St. in Fredonia, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in learning more about the group is welcome to attend.
