Productive summers

Fredonia State had three baseball players earn honors playing summer league ball while a former Blue Devil hockey player signed on to play professional hockey.

Carl Wolf, a sophomore pitcher, was named the Rochester Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the Year while playing with the Rochester Monarchs. Sean Larson, a senior from Angola, and Conner Lorenzo were named to the Carolina Virginia Collegiate Baseball League All-Star team. Larson was also named to the CVCL All-Tournament team.

In other news, former Fredonia State men’s hockey defenseman Brad Nunn signed to play with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the East Coast Hockey League. Nunn also participated in the New York Islanders prospect camp this summer after graduating in May with a bachelor’s of science degree in physics.
