Jammin’ in the Vines IV to feature Sister Hazel
SILVER CREEK – Willow Creek Winery presents “Jammin in the Vines IV,” featuring Sister Hazel Saturday along with special guests Big Leg Emma, Smackdab, Gina V. and the Barn Cats and Honey Spine.
Sister Hazel, most famous for their hit “All for You” will be the main act Saturday. Their American road trip, roots-style music has travelled through this band’s 15-year career.
Still hitting the road for about 100 shows a year, Sister Hazel is making a stop at Willow Creek this year for Jammin in the Vines IV. Not only hitting the road but the sea, Sister Hazel’s The Rock Boat, the world’s largest floating music festival, has featured acts like Tonic, Edwin McCain, Collective Soul, and of course, Sister Hazel. The Willow Creek stage is anticipating the high energy Sister Hazel’s live act entails.
After the release of their album, “Revival” Big Leg Emma has extended their touring to not only the North East Coast but out to Colorado and New Mexico, and is making their annual stop to Willow Creek Winery. Hailing from Western New York, Big Leg Emma has created a sound based in both traditional music like folk, bluegrass, country, psychedelic and in contemporary rock.
Big Leg Emma in 12 years has performed in many major music festivals, including The Great Blue Heron and Finger Lakes Grassroots Music Festival. With hard-hitting harmonies, and strong musicality, Big Leg Emma has been bringing a new look to American Roots Rock Music.
Big Leg Emma will also be headlining Friday at Willow Creek, with special guests Space Junk and Funktional Flow. Gates open at 5 p.m., and there is a $15 cover charge. Camping is available at $10 per person.
Smackdab, hailing from Jamestown, enjoys the kind of blazing word-of-mouth reputation most bands dream of. Here’s the 4/4 intensity of a rock band married to the rhythms of old school R&B, soul, blues, and funk, as well as thick dollops of jazz and pop – made for the sole purpose of getting you onto your feet.
Fredonia’s own Gina Vecchio with her band the Barn Cats will be bringing her soulful voice, and powerful lyrics to the Willow Creek stage. Honey Spine will be kicking off the day at 4 p.m.
