Otto man charged after motorcycle accident

DAYTON – An Otto man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motorcycle accident on Route 353.

According to the Catt-araugus County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher A. Enser, 39, of North Otto Road, while operating his motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve. Enser was allegedly intoxicated and was charged with DWI, operating out of class and failure to keep right. He was flown to ECMC with unknown injuries. He was issued appearance tickets for the Dayton Town Court.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

HANOVER – David M. Rich, 26, of West Seneca was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving the wrong direction on a one-way street Sunday.

According to police, deputies observed Rich operating on South Shore Drive traveling the wrong way at 9:05 p.m. During the traffic stop,

Rich was allegedly found to be intoxicated and he was released on appearance tickets for the Hanover Town Court.

SILVER CREEK – Christian M. Lamoreaux, 26, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Monday.

According to police, deputies responded to the report of a disorderly person at a residence on Elm Street.

It is alleged Lamoreaux entered the residence without permission at 7 p.m., assaulted a victim and choked another.

An arrest warrant from Hanover Town Court was obtained and Lamoreaux was arrested a short time later. He was arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bond. He will appear in Silver Creek Village Court.

BROCTON – Rory A. Houser, 27, of Westfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 or more and operating with a suspended registration Tues-day.

According to deputies, Houser was the operator of a vehicle stopped on West Main Street at 1:19 a.m. and found to be intoxicated.

He was released on his own recognizance to appear in Brocton Village Court.

Chautauqua County Court

MAYVILLE – District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:

Merritt D. Wolcott, 22, of 523 Leopard St., Dunkirk, was sentenced to 2-6 years in state prison for two counts of third-degree burglary, consecutive to 1-3 years in state prison for fourth-degree grand larceny.

Brenda Carter-Dou-chette, 51, of 425 Deer St., Dunkirk, was sentenced to 2 years determinate in state prison, plus 2 years post-release supervision, for two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She was also sentenced to 6 months in jail for fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Anthony F. Price, 44, of Westfield, was sentenced to 1 year in jail for both felony driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, consecutive to 6 months in jail for two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Daryl C. Watkins, 52, of 27 W. Lucas Ave., Dunkirk, was sentenced to 6 months in jail and 5 years probation for two counts of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Jesus M. Ramos, 29, of 211 Columbus Ave., Dunkirk, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Dunkirk Police Department

Neal Rzepkowski, 61, of Cassadaga was charged with failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign on Thursday following an accident. At 2:01 p.m., James Tingue, 51, of Grant Avenue was traveling westbound on East Courtney Street when he was struck in the driver’s side by Rzepkowski. Rzepkowski was traveling northbound on Lord Street and was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Courtney Street. He proceeded after the stop sign and struck Tingue. Rzepkowski stated to police he did not see Tingue.

Clayton Cieslewicz, 19, of East Cedar Street, was charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief on Friday.

Pedro Gonzalez, 29, of Smith Court, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Saturday.

Randy Lopez, 19, of Brooklyn, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone on Monday.

Marcus McCall, 25, of Deer Street, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and permitting unlicensed operation on Monday.

Fredonia Police Department

An accident occurred Thursday at 7:56 a.m. at the intersection of Water Street and Howard Street. Roger Baumgartner, 46, of West Seventh Street, Dunkirk, was traveling on Water Street and started slowing down with his right turn signal on to indicate he wanted to turn right onto Howard Street. Paul Tabone, 44, of George’s Place was on Howard Street waiting to turn right onto Water Street and assumed Baumgartner was turning, so he proceeded to turn. Baumgartner decided there was not enough room to make a right turn and continued straight. The two vehicles collided.

State Police at Collins

VERSAILLES – State troopers charged Preston Porter, 21, of VanVleck Road, Perrysburg on Aug. 10. Porter was found parked in the roadway on Main Street of Versailles and allegedly failed a series of field sobriety tests. Troopers then took him into custody. He was processed at the state police barracks in Collins with a blood alcohol content of .18 and will appear Perrysburg Town Court at a later date.
