‘Anything Goes’ auditions Aug. 28, 29

JAMESTOWN – Auditions will be held Aug. 28 and 29 for Jamestown Community College’s production of “Anything Goes,” which will be performed in the fall.

The auditions, which begin at 7 p.m. in Scharmann Theatre, are open to students and community members. People trying out should memorize a song to sing and bring the sheet music and should also wear comfortable clothing for learning a dance routine.

The musical will be directed by Robert Schlick with technical direction by Steven Gustafson. Rehearsals begin in September and performances are set for selected dates in November.

“Anything Goes,” a favorite on Broadway, features music and lyrics by Cole Porter including “You’re the Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Friendship,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “Blow Gabriel, Blow,” “All Through the Night” and “Anything Goes.”
