Mayville teen allegedly steals $3,500 from relatives
MAYVILLE – A teenage male of Mayville has been accused of stealing from relatives. Tyler P. Conway, 17, of Elm Street was charged with third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Thursday.
According to the Chaut-auqua County Sheriff’s Office, Conway allegedly broke into a safe at a relative’s residence and stole approximately $3,500 on Aug. 28. Conway was arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and released on his own recognizance to his father.
Texas man found to be a fugitive after DWI arrest
MINA – A Texas man was found to have an active arrest warrant out of his home state Wednesday night following a traffic stop on Route 430.
David J. Keene, 54, of Mesquite, Texas was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, parking on the highway and no headlights at 9:17 p.m.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Keene’s vehicle was allegedly parked in the middle of the road across the center line, where he was later found to be intoxicated. Police discovered Keene was wanted out of Dallas County, Texas for DWI. Officials in Texas plan to extradite Keene.
He was arraigned as a fugitive from justice and on the DWI charge and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on bail. He will remain in custody until his extradition.
Domestic incident leads to charges
PERRYSBURG – Joseph A. Pugh, 37, of North Road was charged by Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation Wednesday following an alleged domestic incident.
Pugh was arraigned in Perrysburg Town Court and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail. He will appear in court at a later date.
State Police at Jamestown
CHARLOTTE – Alicia M. Hawkins of Falconer was charged with driving while intoxicated on Wednesday. According to police, Hawkins was pulled over for speeding on Route 62 going 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. During this traffic stop, Hawkins was found to be intoxicated and was given a breath test. Her blood alcohol content was reportedly .14 percent. Hawkins was released to a sober third party and will appear in Charlotte Town Court at a later date.

MAYVILLE – Edward A. Wood, 43, of Westfield was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession a hypodermic instrument, speeding and failure to dim high beams on Thursday.
According to police, Wood was stopped on North Erie Street for speeding and failure to dim high beams at 1:20 a.m. Wood allegedly had what appeared to be narcotic packaging material visible in his wallet when he retrieved his license.
Wood was also found in possession of two hypodermic syringes and other drug paraphernalia. He was released on appearance tickets for Chautauqua Town Court.
JAMESTOWN – Jerome Sellers, 30, of Jamestown was charged with criminal sale of drugs on Wednesday. Sellers was wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on an arrest warrant and was on the county’s most wanted list. Sellers can now be removed from the list.
JAMESTOWN – James Hayes, 23, of Jamestown was charged with a violation of treatment court warrant on Wednesday. Hayes was wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on this warrant and was on the county’s most wanted list. Hayes can now be removed from the list.
