Dr. and Mrs. Ryan Harrington
Stephanie Lynn O’Connor and Dr. Ryan Matthew Harrington were united in marriage on Saturday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at The Chapel at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Steven Gross and Reverend Stephen Quill. A reception and dinner immediately followed at The Cohen House on the grounds of Rice University with music provided by The Klockwork Band. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Haven Restaurant in Houston, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael O’Connor of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gernsbacher of Ft. Worth, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert O’Connor of Dallas, Texas.
The groom is the son of Patricia Harrington of Mayville and Michael Harrington of Westfield. He is the grandson of Pauline Baron and the late Joseph S. Baron of Jamestown, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Harrington of Mayville.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Provonias gown. The strapless sheath gown was fashioned with lace on the bodice, skirt, and train. She also wore a silk white chapel-length tulle veil trimmed with lace. Her bouquet was tied with her late grandmother’s embroidered hankerchief.
Sisters of the bride Laura and Lesley O’Connor of Houston, Texas served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids included the groom’s sister, Emily Harrington of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Ashley Partridge of Norman, Okla.; and Annette Guzman of Sugar Land, Texas.
Brother of the groom Christopher Harrington of Shelton, Conn., served as best man. Groomsmen included Michael Whitney of Austin, Texas; Keith Monk of League City, Texas; John Carberry of Bethel Park, Pa.; and Dustin Hammers of Salt Lake City, Utah.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor of arts in biology from the University of Texas. She graduated with a masters in physical therapy from University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. She is currently employed as a pediatric physical therapist.
The groom is a graduate of Chautauqua Lake Central School in Mayville. He received his bachelor of science in chemistry from Allegheny College. He graduated with a doctorate in organic chemistry from The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He is currently employed as a research scientist for chemicals in the oil and gas industry.
After a honeymoon to the British Virgin Islands, the couple returned to their home in Houston, Texas.
