Girls 4 Golf holds end-of-year banquet

The Girls 4 Golf Tuesday Night League met at The Colony Restaurant on Aug. 27 for its year-end banquet. Special gifts were given to Debbie Yerico and Nancy Phillips for perfect attendance. Most improved handicap went to Phillips, 19 to 14, most pars went to Judith Waterman with 10, most bogies went to Vicki Westling with 43 and Phillips was recognized for her birdie on hole No. 9 on Aug. 6. The door prize for the evening, donated by Harvest View on Route 20 in Fredonia, was won by President Sue Gotowka. Yerico and Sally Giambrone were in charge of the banquet and Yerico provided the individual favors. A short meeting was held and the officers were reinstated for next year. Team standings for the year were as follows: First Place: Yerico and Giambrone; tied for second place: Phillips and Karen Tramuta along with Linda Prince and Sue Johnson; third place: Waterman and Suzanne Elias; fourth place: Gotowka and Sue Hertlein; and fifth place: Westling and Paulette Morein.
