Lake Shore Savings Bank receives Mikey’s Way Hero Award, begins another fundraiser
Lake Shore Savings Bank was recently presented with the 2013 Mikey’s Way Hero Award at the Drive For Dreams Gala held at Brookfield Country Club.
During fall 2012, the bank raised $25,000 in donations for the Mikey’s Way Foundation. Chairman of the Mikey’s Way Foundation Board Ken Tirohn presented Dan Reininga, president and CEO of Lake Shore Savings Bank, with 11 plaques – one for each of the bank’s branch locations.
“I would personally like to thank everyone who helped bring awareness and raise enough money for five Mikey’s Days,” Reininga said. “Without the support of our customers, employees, and our board of directors this would not have been possible.”
At the gala, Lake Shore Savings announced that it will host a Mikey’s Way Month this month, renewing its commitment to the Foundation by raising awareness for a second consecutive year. Each branch office will feature a Mikey’s Cart display and will be selling raffle tickets to benefit the foundation.
The raffle winners will receive two tickets to one of two 2013 Buffalo Bills home games inside the Goal Line Club Suite. The bank will also be raffling off a one-week stay for two in a condominium located in East Lake Woodlands, Oldsmar, Fla., to include an airfare credit of $500.
“We invite the local community to stop into any of our branch locations to find out more about the relationship between Lake Shore Savings and Mikey’s Way,” Reininga said.
