Jamestown man charged
following narcotics investigation
JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man has been charged following a narcotics investigation in the city. Juan J. Rivera, 33, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Wednesday following an investigation lasting several months.
Drug investigators from the Jamestown police and the New York State Police executed two search warrants at 245 and 251 Fulton St. at 6 a.m. Rivera was found inside the residence and an alleged loaded pistol was also found inside. Rivera was sent to the city jail pending arraignment. More arrests are expected.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office
SILVER CREEK – Richie A. Thompson Jr., 21, of Howard Street was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Tuesday.
At 2:15 p.m. deputies were investigating a possible narcotics complaint on Howard Street. Thompson was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and smoking pipes. He was released on an appearance ticket for Silver Creek Village Court.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office
LEON – Michael A. Doubek, 39, of Conewango Valley was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 or more, failure to keep right, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle without interlock and leaving the scene of an accident on Aug. 30.
At 11:07 p.m. deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Youngs Road. Doubek had allegedly lost control of his vehicle and gone into the ditch and fled the scene of the accident on foot. He was arraigned in Dayton Town Court and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail. Doubek will appear in Leon Town Court at a later date.
