Westfield Hospital’s ‘Walk For Wellness 5K Run/Walk’ planned

On Sept. 14, the WMH Regional Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor the 26th annual Dr. Robert E. Storms Walk For Wellness 5K Run/Walk. This event benefits the WMH Cardiac Rehab and Physical Therapy departments. Over the past 25 years the community support for this event has enabled both departments to add new services and equipment. Again this year all funds raised will be used to purchase much-needed exercise and physical therapy equipment.

The 5K run/walk will begin at 10 a.m. Participants should meet at 9:30 a.m. in the hospital lobby to register and pick up maps and T-shirts. Auxiliary members will monitor water stations along the route. Pledge sheets may be obtained prior to the event at the WMH lobby, ER desk, or PT department. The Auxiliary Board hopes community members will join them for fresh air and fun as they support Westfield Memorial Hospital.
