PERRYSBURG – Mabel Larkin, age 73, of White Drive, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 surrounded by family.
Born into the “Turtle Clan” on April 4, 1940 in Gowanda, the daughter of Allen and Cassie (Cook) Mohawk.
A homemaker, Mabel is survived by 3 children, Cassie Nipper of Pa., Bonnie (Greg) Patton of Fla., and Joshua Larkin, also of Fla. Grandmother of Teresa, Dora, Hailey, David, Niki, and Cassie M. Great grandmother to 12 and great great grandmother of one. Mabel is also survived by sisters Myra Warrior, Flossie Stafford and Wende Harjo, all of Perrysburg, along with brothers William Mohawk of Perrysburg and Leland Mohawk of Irving.
Besides her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, who passed away Sept 20, 1958; two sons, Ralph “Tuffy” Larkin (Oct. 10, 1982) and Allen Larkin (Aug. 29, 1998). Sisters and brothers Hazel Stafford, Raphael Mohawk, Randolph Mohawk, Lettie Mohawk and Lloyd Mohawk. Mabel was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jennifer E. Larkin (Sept. 7, 2002).
The family will receive friends at the family residence, 10948 White Drive, Perrysburg after 2 p.m. today and all day on Sunday. Funeral Services will be held Monday Sept. 9, 2013 @ 10 a.m. Burial to follow in the family cemetery.
