Fredonia can’t hold off Falconer in five-set loss

The Fredonia Lady Hillbillies (0-2, 1-4) took the first two sets, but the Falconer Lady Golden Falcons rallied to steal a 3-2 victory on Tuesday in West League girls high school volleyball.

The scores read 23-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

“We struggled a little bit after the second set,” Fredonia coach Chris Anderson said. “We struggled with passing the last two nights. We had some opportunities to put the ball away and we didn’t. Falconer had some pretty good defensive plays. It was another one of those nights you love to watch volleyball.”

The Lady Hillbillies look to capture their first league win of the season Thursday when they host Southwestern.
