Fireworks tonight

The Valley Historical Society will have fireworks today to end the 15th annual Sinclairville History Fair. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. right after the street dance featuring the band “Two for Flinching” and will be visible from nearly everywhere in the village.

CCIDA and CRC boards to meet Tuesday in Jamestown

There will be a meeting of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at CCIDA, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown in the Board room.

There will be a Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corporation Board of Directors meeting immediately following the CCIDA Board meeting. The meeting will also be held at the CCIDA in the Board room.

Community Blood Bank sets blood drive schedule

The Community Blood Bank will be holding several blood drives in the area, according to the following schedule: Monday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Harvest Chapel in Fredonia; Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Westfield Memorial Hospital; and Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.

All donors will be entered into a drawing for four tickets to the Bills vs. Steelers game Nov. 4 at Heinz Field.

PVCS class of 1963 to hold 50th reunion

Classmates of Pine Valley’s Class of 1963 will meet Friday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at Trillium in Cherry Creek for an informal “Dutch Treat” gathering to celebrate their 50th class reunion. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

Persia Board will hold workshop

The Persia Town will host a budget workshop at the town hall on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. Immediately following the workshop, the planning and zoning board will meet at 7 p.m.
