Mr. and Mrs. Adam (Emily) Olka

Emily Rose Keddie and Adam Scott Olka were united in marriage on June 8, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony at the Delaware Park Rose Garden in Buffalo. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Theodore Brelsford.

The bride is the daughter of Donald Keddie and Barb and Joe Faxlanger, all of Fredonia.

The groom is the son of Rich and Donna Knight of North Tonawanda.

The bride wore an ivory and champagne fitted strapless gown with beading and tiered lace and tulle throughout with a chapel length train. She wore her mother’s maternal grandmother’s pearl earrings and her mother’s paternal grandmother’s pearl necklace.

The bride was escorted by her father. She was attended by maid of honor Ivy Spera and bridesmaids Kathy Boyd, Kristy Boyd, Lindsey Anderson, Ashlee Feldman and Sara Haugli. All wore short dark gray dresses with matching coral shoes, earrings, and necklaces. Flower girls were Esther and Madeleine Nau, nieces of the bride from Toulouse, France. The flower girls’ father, Sylvain Nau, played violin for the ceremony.

The groom’s attendants included friend Michael Casullo as best man and brother-in-law Andrew Keddie, brother Joshua Knight and friends Marc Gleason and Ben Niethe as groomsmen. The men all wore light gray suits.

A reception was held at the Marcy Casino on Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park following the ceremony.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Fredonia High School, a 2008 graduate of SUNY Fredonia, and is in her fifth and final year of a doctoral program in counseling and school psychology from the University at Buffalo. She is currently completing her internship at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and a 2002 graduate of Niagara County Community College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He is currently employed with the Transportation Security Administration at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

The couple honeymooned throughout northern California, and returned to their newly-purchased home in Amherst.
