Sharon A. Till
SHERIDAN – Sherry (Ruttenbur) Till, 64, of Sheridan, NY, passed away peacefully at home, September 14, 2013, with her family by her side, after a battle with cancer.
She was born April 7, 1949 to the late Wilton and Beulah (Scott) Ruttenbur. She was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church, The Sparrows Club with the Crystal Cathedral Ministries and also The 700 Club. She was a graduate of Pine Valley High School and also a graduate of Millard Fillmore Hospital. She retired from Brooks Memorial Hospital as an RN, working as a maternity nurse and assisting in the delivery of many area babies, including four of her own grandchildren.
Together, Sherry and her late husband, Paul D. Till, who passed away February 7, 2010, built Till’s Stable in Sheridan, where they boarded and owned several horses.
Sherry is survived by two sisters, Marlene (Ruttenbur) Ecker, of Florida and Virginia (Ruttenbur) Duck, of South Dayton. Also surviving are five children, Paul (Karen) Till of Arizona, Mary Fesser of Dunkirk, Rick Till of Sheridan, Susan (Dan) Corsi of Fredonia and Mike (Denene) Till of Arizona. She was also a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren, Michael Fesser, Jerad Till, Judy Ann Corsi, Laura Corsi, Samantha Corsi, Shelby Till, Danielle Till, Shane Till, Joey Till and Hannah Till; and two great-grandchildren, Landen and Addison Fesser.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Paul D. Till; her mother, Buelah Ruttenbur; her father, Wilton Ruttenbur; and also an infant sister, Janet Marie.
Sherry is a Born Again Believer in Our Lord Jesus Christ. We know you are no longer suffering and are resting peacefully with our Lord in Heaven.
Sherry was a loving and devoted wife, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her gentle and loving spirit. She will remain in our hearts always.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Mel McGinnis will officiate. Burial will be in Burnham Hollow Cemetery in the town of Arkwright. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
