Naz tops Devils in volleyball; Geneseo drops FSU in tennis

ROCHESTER – The Nazareth women’s volleyball team topped Fredonia State, 3-0, on Wednesday. The Devils fall to 8-5, while the Flyers improve to 11-3.

Nazareth took the sets by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 32-30.

Jessica DiChristopher had 11 kills and Sara Madison had eight. Kelly Edinger had 28 assists. Lauren Hokaj had three aces and 11 digs. Brittney Kelly had 15 digs and Paulina Rein had four blocks.

The Devils travel to the Buckeye State this weekend to take on Hiram and Kenyon in a tri-match.

Women’s Tennis

GENESEO – Fredonia State fell to 2-3 with a 9-0 road defeat in women’s tennis action at Geneseo on Wednesday.

Molly Zanetti had the strongest showing against the SUNYAC-leading Knights (5-0), winning eight sets – six in singles and two in doubles.

The Blue Devils are back in action today at Pitt-Bradford.
