Betty Krystofiak

Betty Krystofiak passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 22, 2013.

She was born July 26, 1934, daughter of the late Ernest and Goldie (Larsen) Martin of Jamestown, NY.

Betty started her career as waitress/bartender at Van Buren Inn and continued through the years at Rusch’s Restaurant, The Jumping Frog and the Columbus Club. She also was a cook at The Sand Bucket at Wright Park in Dunkirk. Prior to her retirement at age 75, she was employed as a bus aide for Carrier Coach of Gowanda, NY.

An avid bowler at Red Dot Bowling Lanes in Fre-donia, NY throughout the 1960s and 1970s, she won many trophies for the championships her team captured.

Surviving are her children, Victoria Kelley of Brocton, NY, Daniel (Patty) Krystofiak of Apex, NC, Diane Krystofiak of Fredonia, NY, and Susan Krystofiak of Beaumont, TX.

Also survived by her grandchildren, Scott (Sue) Munson of Fredonia, NY, Kimberly (Steve) Butcher of Pace, FL, Timothy (Erica) Munson of Dunkirk, NY, Matthew (Tina) Mun-son of Cleveland, GA, Jeffrey (Heather) Krystofiak of New Market, MD, Leslie Krystofiak of Dunkirk, NY and Kaitlyn Krystofiak of Fredonia, NY; great grandchildren Chelsea and Dylan Munson, Tyler and Tori Butcher, Gabriella and Adam Krystofiak, Khloe Munson, Adrien and Avery Krystofiak and Kylee Munson; her great great grandchild, Adrina Leigh Logano; and her pet and companion, “Squeeks.”

There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Flowers are gratefully declined.
