Falconer rallies past Fredonia
FALCONER – After spotting Fredonia one goal, Falconer (6-0-1, 7-0-1) bounced back with two of its own, resulting in a 2-1 victory Tuesday in CCAA West girls high school soccer.
The Lady Hillbillies got on the scoreboard first at 10:32 in the first half as Morgan Genovese found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
However, at 21:50, Sydney Moore evened things up for Falconer with an unassisted goal.
Things stayed the same well into the second half and Kelly Keefe came through with the game-winner with 9:12 left for the Lady Golden Falcons.
Macey Mays collected 10 saves for Falconer.
Alexandria Zentz made seven saves for the Lady Hillbillies.
Chautauqua Lake 5,?Dunkirk 0
MAYVILLE – Courtney Hewes tallied four goals and keeper Rachael Fortney was perfect in net as the Chautauqua Lake Lady Thunderbirds downed Dunkirk, 5-0, in a West girls soccer game Tuesday.
Jade Walsh added the final goal on a second-half penalty kick. Registering assists were Kourtney Shearer, Emiley Corwin and Courtney Zentz.
Fortney made seven saves for the Lady Thunderbirds (2-6-1), who led 3-0 at halftime.
North Collins 2, Silver Creek 2
NORTH COLLINS – Emma Kron scored with 21 seconds left in the second overtime Tuesday to help North Collins (2-1-2) to a 2-2 tie with Silver Creek (6-1-1, 5-0-1) during CCAA Central girls soccer action.
Kron was able to get a foot on a loose ball after a corner kick came into the 18-yard box. Kron put the Lady Eagles on the board in the first half with her first unassisted goal.
Hannah Seiders tied the game for the Black Knights on an assist by Katie Dittiger 25 minutes into the second half, before putting Silver Creek up 2-1 four minutes into the first 10-minute overtime. Janelle Cossin picked up the assist.
Jamie Hehir made five saves for the Black Knights between the pipes.
