Brothers of the Road raise funds for Anew Center

The Brothers of the Road Club held a fundraiser for the Salva-tion Army Anew Center at the Marine Corps Club in Silver Creek. The event was a dice run through Chautauqua County. Local vendors with a variety of merchandise for sale, a silent auction and chicken and sweet corn dinners were available. Local rock bands performed throughout the day for the participants.

The Brothers of the Road is a social riding club founded 10 years ago by Charlie Farley. The club has raised more than $90,000 for Western New York charities. The group conducts one to three fundraisers a year to help local people in need and promotes giving back to the community. The group has assisted flood victims, victims of crimes and Western New York anti-domestic violence programs. Club members are from Chautauqua County to the Buffalo area. Most of the 19 club members are veterans. The current Commandant of the Marine Corps Club is Sam Restivo.

Paddock Chevrolet contributed $100 to the fundraiser and North Collins General Dollar donated several sets of new pajamas to the program.

The Club raised a total of $1,150 for the Anew Center Program. The Anew Center Program is the domestic violence and sexual assault service provider for the county.
