Ralph L. Phillips

SOUTH DAYTON – Ralph L. Phillips, 69, a laborer for Carnation Milk Plant, where he worked for many years, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, NY.

He was born November 10, 1943 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Ralph and Irma (Ernst) Phillips.

He also worked as an over the road truck driver for Frozen Food Express of Dallas, TX; was caretaker of horses for Standard Breed Horse Sales and Garden State Horse Sales of New Jersey.

Ralph will be remembered for his love of life, fishing, traveling and the outdoors.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy L. (Dennis) Draves of Randolph, NY, Wendy S. (James) Potter of Fredonia, NY; two sons, Todd M. (Dee) Phillips of Bloomsdale, MO, Christopher (Margaret) Phillips of South Dayton, NY; five grandchildren: Jonathan Draves of Portland, NY, Joshua Draves of Randolph, NY, Lyndsey Phillips and Kyle Phillips, both of Bloomsdale, MO, Isabella Phillips of South Dayton, NY. A brother, Kenneth A. (Jill) Phillips of Cherry Creek, NY, and two sisters: Gail (Marvin) Ridell of Houston, TX, and Judy (Gary) Grover of South Dayton, NY also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Phillips, and his sister, Donna Astry.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Hills Funeral Chapel, Route 83, Balcom Corners, South Dayton, NY.

Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Friday from 5 -7 PM.
