Martin D. Kline Sr.
FORESTVILLE – Martin D. Kline Sr., 91, of King Road, Forestville, NY, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 20, at TLC/HN-Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
He was born in Buffalo on June 14, 1922, the son of the late William and Pearl (Berger) Kline.
Mr. Kline served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Pfc. in World War II, receiving the Bronze Star and many other medals. He worked as a boilermaker for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Lackawanna for 29 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Kline was a member of the J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953 in Forestville.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Stan) Jennings, of Hamburg, and Charlene Papoi, of Corfu, and a son, Martin D. (Hilda) Kline Jr., of Orchard Park. Also surviving are two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Eleanor L. (Robinson) Kline, whom he married March 2, 1946 in the former St. Mary’s Church in Buffalo and who died De-cember 27, 2012, and by a son-in-law, Larry Papoi.
