JAMESTOWN – Ryan A. Bloom, 28, of Elliott Street was charged with petit larceny on Oct. 14.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred on July 23 when Bloom allegedly took $150 from an individual as payment to start repair work on her house.
After taking the money, Bloom allegedly never returned to do the repair work.
Bloom was advised to return the money but he failed to do so.
He was released on appearance ticket for Chautauqua Town Court.
PORTLAND – Brian A. Wagner Jr., 29, of Brocton was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Monday.
At 6:35 p.m. deputies responded to Route 20 for the report of a person passed out in the vehicle. Wagner was found to be operating under the influence of a narcotic drug and was found in possession of a controlled substance and a quantity of marijuana.
He was released to appear in Portland Town Court at a later date.
FRENCH CREEK – Ryan M. Peters, 24, of Bakerink Road was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of breathing and second-degree menacing on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to Bakerink Road for an alleged dispute in the roadway at 9:20 a.m.
Peters allegedly threatened the female with a collapsible baton and chased her outside where he choked her while she was holding an infant.
Police also located a cane sword in Peters’ residence, which was not involved in the incident.
He was arraigned in French Creek Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
