Holiday craft, gift show to be held Nov. 9 at fair grounds

The third annual Holiday Craft & Gift Show will feature local artisans and crafters and will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9. The doors open at 10 a.m. at the Ag & Expo Building of the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds, 1089 Central Ave., Dunkirk, just a few minutes from exit 59 off the I-90.

The show features over 45 local artists from around the county who will be exhibiting their crafts. This alternative to mall shopping offers customers some unique and one-of-a-kind items that aren’t found in stores, from hand-painted ornaments to custom handmade gifts.

Surprise your family with artisan-crafted gifts made with care by artists from around the county. Visitors will have the opportunity to shop for that very special gift of hand-poured candles, bath teas, baked goods, homemade fudge, Christmas decor, silver Art, beach glass jewelry, hand-painted glassware, kitchen towels, specialty dips, hard candy, hand-crafted ceramics, stocking stuffers, yard and garden accessories and polymer clay creations, creating an atmosphere of holiday shopping delight.

Admission price of $1 for adults benefits Relay for Life; children are free. The fundraiser booth this year will offer an assortment of Chinese auction baskets to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society. There will also be food for purchase to benefit the United Angels Youth Group from Silver Creek. An admission will include a ticket for door prize drawings of $20 each, to be “spent” with the crafter of your choice!

We encourage you to come, enjoy, get a start on holiday shopping and support local businesses. For more information contact Shelly Odebralski of Blessings Everywhere Studio at 965-2956.
