Ellen N. Pappas-Stebbins
FORESTVILLE – Ellen N. Pappas-Stebbins, 74, of Forestville passed away Wednesday (Oct. 23, 2013) at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa.
She was born Dec. 6, 1938 in Utica, NY the daughter of the late Alexander and Myrtle (Premo) Cowe.
Ellen was a graduate of Lake Shore Central School, and worked for many years at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, NY. She retired as the medical records manager for Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, NY with 15 years of service.
She enjoyed camping, especially at Allegany State Park, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles with her husband, Randy. She also was an avid reader.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Randall, whom she married Sept. 3, 1993 in Chautauqua; two sons, Timothy Pappas and Richard (Carey) Pappas, both of Angola; five grandsons, Rick, Nick, Zack, Jacob and Adam Pappas; two granddaughters, Michaela Stepniak and Allie Pappas; and five great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Cowe.
Services will be private. Memorials in Ellen’s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
