Workshop for exporting business to be held in Dunkirk on Nov. 13

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Export Assistance Center and the Chautauqua County IDA is inviting area company representatives to participate in a workshop in Dunkirk entitled: “Export Workshop: Getting Started.”

Exporting is one of the best ways for companies to increase sales and it’s not as hard as you think to get started. This program will feature information on the local resources available to help companies navigate the export process, from finding and qualifying foreign partners to getting paid to export documentation. There will be a brief presentation and then time for Q&A. A light lunch will also be provided.

This workshop is targeted for producers and manufacturers. Pre-registration is required.

Topics include: Sources of international market research, determining the best markets for your products, finding qualified foreign partners, regulations in foreign countries, and developing your website to attract international customers.

“Export Workshop: Getting Started” will be held Nov. 13 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.
