Wednesday Travel League
Ron Rys shot the low round of 76 at Harbor Ridge Golf Course in Harborcreek, Pa., to capture the title in the league’s annual Halloween Spooktacular.
Kerry Murphy and Ed Tofil were each two strokes back with 78’s while Gary Richardson shot a 79. Rys was low on the front nine with 39 and Murphy matched Rys’ 37 for low on the back nine.
In the B Flight, Dave Criscione won a three-way tiebreaker over Jeff Kubera and Butch Mackowiak. In C Flight, Frank Benamati won a tiebreaker over Dan Kaszuba. Winner of the Commissioner’s Award was Lee Titus.
Untied birdies were recorded by: A Flight – Tofil (No. 2), Alex Deering (No. 4), Al Etzel (No. 7), Murphy (No. 10) and John Bongiovanni (Nos. 11 & 16); B Flight – Joe Bifaro (No. 2), Jim Ferrick (No. 3), Bob Thompson (No. 10), Ron Szach (No. 12) and Kubera (No. 14). C Flight – Gary Hazelton (Nos. 5 & 14), Benamati (No. 11) and Kaszuba (No. 12). Closest to the pin were Jack Griswold (No. 3), Szach (Nos. 8 & 12) and John Waterman (No. 17).

CCHA C League Game
Lakeview Shock 9, Team 6 1 – Jim Eschberger and Joe Harris had two goals each while Dan Gornikiewicz, Jason Coloson, Jeff Marsowicz, Keith Mages and German Torres all scored. Assists went to Joe Harris (four), Eschberger, Chris Spellberg, Dan Prittie, Mike Korzeniewski and Mages.
Brian Lillie picked up the win in net.
Scoring for Team 6 was Nick Bailey while assists went to David Newcomb and Bill Powell. Kenny Shearer suffered the loss between the pipes.

Akron vs. Fredonia Football Game to Air Today
The Akron vs. Fredonia Section 6 Class C football semifinal, at Dunkirk’s Karl Hoeppner Field, will air today on Cable Access Channel 5 in Fredonia and Channel 12 in Dunkirk.
