Silver Creek faculty to hit the court for charity Tuesday

SILVER CREEK – Silver Creek faculty will be going head-to-head in a charity basketball game.

The high school faculty will play the elementary and middle school faculty Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the high school gym, with proceeds from the game going to Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the junior class.

“It started last year and the gym was completely full,” High School Prin-cipal James Klubek said. “We had wonderful participation. The high school won last year through some creative scorekeeping. It’s all in good fun.”

Klubek said the game is a great community-building event.

“We want to get the kids and the community in the school,” he added.

Participating will be Superintendent Daniel Ljiljanich, Klubek, special education teacher Bridget Case, teaching assistant Amy Seiders, math teacher Kristin Zells, special education teacher Kelli Gorman, English teacher Carolyn Laurenzi, high school secretary Sonia Pearl, social studies teacher Shannon Davis, Lisa Brennan and Mr. Partridge and Ms. Ohl on the high school team. On the elementary and middle school team are Elementary School Principal Scott Rudnicki, grade six teacher Jennifer Cave, grade six teacher Chris Prevet, grade three teacher Danielle Brogcinski, physical education teacher Robert Genco, social studies teacher Jason Waterman, English teacher Christian Charles, Ms. Steenburg, physical education teacher Wayne Griem, nurse Diane Graf and family and consumer sciences teacher Jane Gens.
