Chicken and biscuit dinner sponsored by Olive Lodge F&AM

Olive Lodge 575 F&AM is sponsoring a chicken and biscuit dinner on Veterans Day from 4 p.m. to sold out at Olive Lodge 575 F&AM, 197 Park St., Sherman. The dinner will include chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, apple sauce, homemade desserts and a beverage. The price is $8 per dinner and take out orders will be available.

Veterans Day Dinner to be held Monday

American Legion Post 409/Amvets Post 409 will sponsor a Veterans Day dinner on Monday at 100 Legion Drive in Gowanda. The bar will be open for cocktails at 5:30 p.m., with a prime rib dinner buffet at 6 p.m. The first drink is free. Tickets are $10 presale and $15 at the door. For more information, call 532-3592.

Bob Evans salutes veterans with

free hotcakes

This Veterans Day, Bob Evans Farms salutes service to country with a hearty plate of hotcakes. The company announced that veterans and active military personnel will receive free allyou-can-eat hotcakes at its restaurants on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11. All these honored servicemen and women need do is show a valid military ID.

“These dedicated men and women have served us, now we’re proud to serve them a free breakfast on Veteran’s Day,” says President of Bob Evans Restaurants Randy Hicks. “We’re grateful for their service to country and a heaping stack of hotcakes is our way of saying thank you.”

Guests must provide proof of service, including: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Wearing uniform, or Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW).

VFW Post 6472 plans Veterans Day service

The Silver Creek Samuel Cimino VFW Post 6472 will hold a Veterans Day service Monday at 11 a.m. at the post, 13 Main St., Silver Creek. There will be a service, a military gun salute and light refreshments to follow.

Babysitting clinic Monday

The Jamestown YMCA announces an upcoming date for the next YMCA babysitting clinic for boys and girls, ages 11-16. The clinic will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jamestown YMCA and will instruct participants about the responsibilities involved in caring for younger children including child development, safety, emergency response and more.

The clinic is taught by experienced instructors who have knowledge in child development, health and overall care of children. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch. Space is limited. Registrations cannot be taken over the phone, but can be made at the YMCA Welcome Center. For more information, visit www.jamestownymca.org.

Brocton winter parking regulations in effect
