Man charged after allegedly attempting to hit nurse
HANOVER – An Irving man has been charged after an incident where he allegedly attempted to hit a nurse Thursday.
Thomas F. Gagola, 52, was charged with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Routes 5/20 at 2:30 p.m. where Gagola had allegedly used obscene and abusive language in a public place and tried to strike a nurse with a closed fist.
He was arraigned in Hanover Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
Aggravated DWI part of charges for Brocton man
BROCTON – Raymond L. Dotson, 44, of Brocton was charged with passing on the right, improper passing, moving from lane unsafely and aggravated driving while intoxicated on Thursday.
At 6:21 p.m. deputies on patrol on Main Street observed an eastbound vehicle allegedly pass another vehicle on the right. Dotson was found to be allegedly intoxicated.
He was arraigned in Portland Town Court and released on his own recognizance to appear again in court at a later date.
