Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority meets
The women of the Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority recently met at the home of Roxanne Fisk, with Margie Boltz serving as co-hostess. Vice President Margie Boltz conducted the meeting in the absence of President Janice Hipwell.
Members voted to send donations to the Fredonia Opera House and to a Brocton resident who is going through a difficult time.
The Social Committee reported that members and guests will tour the Grape Discovery Center on Saturday, Nov. 16. They will meet there at 4 p.m. and attend dinner afterward at a Westfield restaurant. It was noted that the group’s Christmas party has been changed from Dec. 17 to Dec. 16 so that all members can attend. The party will be held at the home of Judy Travis. She will purchase the wine and provide hot apple cider. Festivities will commence at 6 p.m.
Further plans will be discussed at the next meeting.
Fisk presented the program, “The History of Halloween,” and noted that this is actually the oldest holiday of the many we observe and dates back thousands of years.
The next meeting will be held at the home of Margie Boltz on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Marie Zambotti will serve as co-hostess.
Valerie Lis and Gina Hesslink will present the evening’s program.
