Services at Trinity Lutheran
Continuing the November theme of “Thanks be to God”, Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving Eve worship service with communion at 5 p.m. on Nov. 27. The Rev. Travis Grubbs will officiate. Congregation members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the Silver Creek Food Pantry. The church is located at 15 Porter Avenue.
The church will also sponsor special services during Advent. A Wednesday prayer circle begins every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. This is a devotional time for people to come together to pray for individual and community needs. In these troubling times, the church wishes to offer an opportunity to gather for meditation, hymns and prayer. The Rev. Travis Grubbs leads this prayer time.
In addition Wednesday Advent services will be held on December 4th, 11th and 18th. Worship will be from noon – 12:30 pm. The theme for these services will be “Child of Promise.” Old Testament scripture readings will be examined in anticipation of the coming birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Following the worship service, a luncheon will be served in the parish hall. The luncheon is free to the public and all are invited as the parish “prepares the way of the Lord.” The church is located at 15 Porter Avenue in Silver Creek.
The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church will hold its second annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor tables/spaces are still available; those interested should call 640-6907 to reserve spaces. The church is located at 6813 Main St. in Cherry Creek.
