Charles Tinley Memorial Chapter 142 veterans meet

The Charles Tinley Memorial Chapter 142 Veterans meeting was held on Nov. 12.

Commander Michael Maslach opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chaplain Sandra Tapasto said a prayer for all veterans and active military personnel.

Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved by the membership.

Checking and banking accounts were read by the treasurer and bills that were due were read and approved for payment. New checks were also ordered.

A report on the building’s security system was explained by Jack Mateszon and also explained was the reason for the past problem. The system is now back in working order.

The Commander led discussion on membership and a transfer of Daniel Cieplinski to the Dunkirk Chapter.

Veterans interested in a membership to the D.A.V. Chapter may call the Commander or any member on the eligibility at 366-1420.

The Commander reported on the building in and outside for clean-up and repairs. Front door repairs will be made and this summer, “Forget Me Nots” will again be sold.

Chaplain Tapasto said another prayer for all military personnel to come home safe and sound.

The Commander closed the meeting with a silent prayer and a silent salute for deceased veterans.
