No serious injuries in Hanover crash

HANOVER – No one was seriously hurt in a head-on crash that heavily damaged two vehicles Monday morning.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to an accident on Route 39 in the town of Hanover around 7:30 a.m. Deputies said Jeffery Royce, 36, of Gowanda, crossed the center lane, causing his vehicle to collide with oncoming traffic. Those in the other vehicle were not identified, but police said they signed off on medical attention.

Royce was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and was issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right.
