Two teens charged in knife-point robbery
Two teenagers are being charged after a knife-point robbery in the city of Dunkirk on Sunday.
Dunkirk police report the incident happened around 6:04 p.m. near Columbus Avenue and East Fifth Street. Patrols arrived and spoke with the victim who stated that he was robbed by two males on the 400 block of Columbus Avenue while standing near his vehicle.
The victim gave a description of the suspects and a direction of travel. Witnesses were located and through investigation, two suspects were identified and by 11 p.m. had been taken into custody.
The two males, ages 16 and 17, both Dunkirk residents were charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree menacing. Bail was set at $30,000 cash and $60,000 bond with both suspects currently in Chautauqua County Jail.
