Villenova man faces child porn charges

VILLENOVA – A local man was taken into custody Thursday after a lengthy investigation into child pornography.

Christopher G. Travis, 30, was charged with numerous counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and three counts of unlawful surveillance.

New York State Police, including the Troop A Computer Crimes Unit, seized computers and equipment that contained numerous images of child pornography after receiving a search warrant.

Travis was arraigned in the Hanover Town Court by Justice Walter Klyczek and was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $50,000 property or $100,000 cash bail.
