First United Presbyterian Church establishes fund through NCCF
The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation announced the establishment of a new fund to support local church outreach and mission work. The First United Presbyterian Church of Dunkirk New York Fund was formed under the leadership of the Membership, Evangelism, Mission and Outreach (MEMO) Committee.
The First United Presbyterian Church is located at 19 West Fourth St. in Dunkirk. Services here are held every Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The NCCF is one of nearly 750 community foundations in the United States today. Founded in 1986, the NCCF is dedicated to improving the community through the promotion of local philanthropy, strategic grantmaking and community leadership. Served by a small staff and governed by an all-volunteer board of directors, the organization has distributed over $9.3 million in the form of grants and scholarships within the community. Truly community in nature, the NCCF is an organization created by and for the people of northern Chautauqua County.
