American Legion Auxiliary makes December plans
Dunkirk Memorial Unit 62 of the American Legion Auxiliary met Nov. 12 in the clubrooms on Central Avenue. President Del Jusko presided; 12 members were present.
The chaplain offered a prayer. Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Minutes were read from the past meeting and approved. The financial report was also approved.
Membership stands at 70, reported by Audrey Miga, the membership chairperson.
Poppies were ordered from the department. These are handmade by veterans in the hospitals.
A letter was read from the County Auxiliary about the meeting held Nov. 14 at the Lakewood Legion Post 1286. Seven delegates will attend.
Committee bulletins were handed out, and Jusko asked each chairperson to report on her respective county chairperson.
The books were audited by the finance committee.
Pearl Harbor Day will be observed at the clubrooms on Dec. 7 with the Commander and Jusko in charge of arrangements.
No regular meeting will be held in December. The Christmas party will take its place.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned with a prayer.
