Dolores Jean Ranus
Dolores Jean Ranus, 82, of Fort Myers, FL died Thursday morning (Nov. 21, 2013) at Shell Point Hospice Pavilion in Fort Myers.
She was born June 16, 1931 in Cleveland Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Czerwona) Rogalski.
A longtime resident of Dunkirk, NY, Mrs. Ranus had been employed by Chautauqua County Home and Infirmary.
She was a parishioner of St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church since 1953 and recently a member of St. Columbkille RC Church of Fort Myers.
Survivors include her brother, Edward (Diane) Rogalski of Cupertino Ca., children Steve (Tammy) Ranus of Hoschton, Ga., Donna (Dan) Franklin of Fort Myers, Fl., Mark (Karen) Ranus of Austin, Texas and Judy (Michael) Persichilli of Akron, Ohio.
Nine grandchildren, LCpl Roger (Jennifer) Ranus, Annie Ranus, Dan Jr. (Donna) Franklin, Adam (Erica) Franklin, Sara Ranus, Kristen Ranus, Megan Ranus, Mary (Pa-trick) Donaldson and Julie (Brendan) Foley.
Four great-grandchildren Grant Ranus, Scarlett Ranus, Emily Franklin and Gavyn Franklin.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ranus, whom she married June 11, 1949.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Mary Angela Parish – St. Hyacinth’s Church, with a tentative celebration date of her birthday June 16, 2014 in Dunkirk, New York.
