Plaque worthy of recognition
Dale Snyder’s efforts at Pine Valley Central School may not mean much when it comes to academics, but it is an important lesson nonetheless.
Snyder was the chief donor of the plaque honoring “Pine Valley Central School Veterans of Foreign Wars” from 1950 to the present in a ceremony that was held Nov. 8 in the district. The plaque is displayed in the hallway across from the high school office.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Snyder is a life member of the Cherry Creek VFW Post 2522, the Vietnam Veterans of America Post 865, the Disabled American Veterans Post 47 and the South Dayton American Legion Post 1593.
Already, the list has nearly 100 names on it with more being welcome. Residents who have a name to suggest of someone who attended Pine Valley High School and are a veteran of a foreign war – from 1950 to present – are urged to call Superintendent Pete Morgante at 988-3293 ext. 3399 or Dale Snyder at 296-5364.
