Investigators look for arsonist in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – A fire in the city Tuesday morning has been ruled an arson.

The fire began at 9:42 a.m. at a vacant home on First Street near Rundquist Alley in Jamestown.

According to Fire Battalion Chief Sam Salemme, some workers from Jamestown High School saw smoke coming from the first floor.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a small fire in the center of the house and extinguished it right away. No injuries were reported.
