Mike Rozewicz and Greg McQuiggan each netted two goals for the winners while Derek Sheridan had one. Assists went to Matt Wronski (3), Jeff Jamieson (2), Jeff Huyck (2), Tim Thexton and Dave Wright. Gary Shain was the winning goalie.

Goals for Falcons were credited to Adam Woelfle, Derek Backert and Matt Murphy. Assists went to Matt Dorler, Rick Simon, Ryan Simon and Ben Nickle.


NSPCC Basketball Tournament

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will be holding its 12th annual “Peg” Smith basketball tournament December 12-15 at the school on Washington Ave. in Dunkirk. More than 20 Parochial and public school teams (boys and girls grades 4 through 8) from Dunkirk, Fredonia, Jamestown, Irving, Hamburg, Orchard Park and Buffalo will be competing in four divisions. Chances will be sold for Buffalo Sabres memorabilia, a signed Buffalo Bills helmet, club-level Sabres tickets and more. There will also be Chinese auction-style gift baskets.
