Gowanda still perfect in bowling

GOWANDA – The Gowanda bowling teams had successful showings Tuesday as both the boys and girls took down Allegany-Limestone at K&L Lanes.

In the girls’ match, Gowanda (8-0) swept the Lady Gators (5-8). Its linescore read 795-799-829-2,423 while Allegany-Limestone bowled a 728-681-734-2,143.

High series for Gowanda was rolled by Lauren Wing, who had a 223-193-207-623. Laura Gurney had a 194, Bri Thompson added a 178 and Danielle Lesefske shot a 177 game.

For Allegany-Limestone, Molly Schifley led the way with a 160-168-125-453 while Cameron Spring rolled a 144-140-157-441.

In the boys’ match, Gowanda (8-0) dominated with a 1,023-1,011-1,026-3,060 linescore compared to Allegany-Limestone’s (5-8) 801-776-808-2,385.

Walker Cygan led the way for the Panthers with a 233-213-201-647 while Brent Bogardus had a 211-176-246-633. Jordan Schindler charted a 230 game and Jarred Krajewski hit a 215.

Randolph sweeps

Chautauqua Lake

JAMESTOWN – The Randolph Cardinals (8-0) remained perfect in boys high school bowling action as they knocked off the winless Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds (0-7-1) on Tuesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Randolph’s linescore read 796-774-847-2,417 compared to Chautauqua Lake’s 573-621-601-1,795.

Top bowler for Randolph was Dalton Taylor with a 210-180-547. Ashton Walters added a 190-181-510 for the winners.

A.J. Utegg led Chautauqua Lake with a 183-183-531 and Robert Ranney had a 166 game in defeat.

The Lady Cardinals matched the boys’ performance with a 4-0 sweep of the Lady Thunderbirds.

Randolph (7-1) cracked a 543-515-543-1,601 while Chautauqua Lake (0-8) charted a 474-496-471-1,441.

Top bowlers for Randolph were Tyler Henderson with a 186-170-494 and Lydia Gozdalski had a 178-432.

Heather Sullivan shined for Chautauqua Lake with a 178-180-519.
