Silver Creek leaf/ brush pickup ends

The village of Silver Creek is no longer picking up resident’s brush and leaves due to the snowy conditions. Residents are asked not to put leaves and brush out at the curb until after the plow season.

Cookie sale Friday to benefit Relay for Life team

The Kosciuszko Club/Paper Factory Relay for Life team is holding a bake sale next Friday, Dec. 20 in the lobby of the Kosciuszko Club from 4 p.m. until sold out. Variety tins of holiday cookies and candy will be sold. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

Fredonia Place to hold baking contest, fundraiser today

Fredonia Place will hold a baking contest for non-professional bakers today.

Baked goods must be dropped off before 1 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Rules for the contest are as follows: Bakers must not be professional bakers; all entries must be homemade; contestants must submit typed recipes by Monday, Dec. 16 for entry; baked goods are judged on taste, presentation, creativity, and judges’ overall impression; judging will take place at 2 p.m. at Fredonia Place; contestants need not be present to win.

Hanover Planning Board changes regular meeting

The Hanover Planning Board will meet Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Hanover Town Hall. The planning board will not hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. The Planning Board is also seeking a member. Letters of interest may be delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office.
